Lucía Pizzani has conceived for her first Solo show at ABRA an in situ installation, a dwelling that integrates the human and the vegetation through sculpture, drawing, collage, photography, and vegetal fragments.
The exhibition is presented as an immersive structure that features a mural that brings together “the symbolic keys of his work: hybrid beings, sculptures in black or red clay that do not abandon the imprint of the body and the hand that gave rise to them, eyes, ovals . It is structured by layers of meaning. The emerging images of plant forms and symbols – such as snakes, spirals or fossils – take us back to primitive times that maintain their allegorical charge over the centuries,” explains María Luz Cárdenas in the exhibition text.
